1. Program Overview
Flexible Packs are one-on-one online Spanish programs designed for busy professionals, creatives, executives, and travelers who need structure, flexibility, and measurable progress.
- All learning plans, objectives, and progression strategies are designed and academically led by Lydia, founder of Sobremesa.Institute and senior Spanish educator.
- Lessons may be delivered by a qualified member of the Sobremesa teaching team.
- Methodology follows an evidence-based, highly personalized instructional model.
2. Registration Process
2.1 Level Test
All students must complete an online Spanish placement test before starting the program.
2.2 Academic Meeting
After the test, students meet with Lydia for a 45-minute academic advising session to:
- Discuss goals
- Confirm level
- Design the initial learning strategy
2.3 Scheduling Lessons
- Lessons are 90 minutes.
- Lessons are held Monday to Thursday.
- Lessons must begin between 9:00 and 18:00 CET.
- Students receive a fixed weekly time slot (day + hour).
- This slot may be changed only when necessary (e.g., travel, time zone changes), subject to availability.
3. Flexible scheduling model (How Flexible Packs work)
Flexible Packs adapt to real life while maintaining clear structure.
3.1 Fixed Weekly Lesson Slot
Each student has a stable weekly day and time.
This ensures continuity of learning and calendar organization.
3.2 Monthly Frequency Planning
At the end of each month, students set the lesson frequency for the upcoming month:
- 1 lesson per week
- 2 lessons per week
- 3 lessons per week
- 4 lessons per week
You may vary the rhythm weekly within the month (e.g., week 1: 1 class; week 2: 3 classes; week 3: 0; week 4: 1).
The time slot stays the same; the frequency changes.
3.3 Pauses & Travel Weeks
Students may include weeks with no lessons due to travel or work.
4. Rescheduling & Cancellations
4.1 24-Hour Policy
Any cancellation or rescheduling must be requested min. 24 hours in advance.
Changes with less notice count as completed lessons.
4.2 Rescheduling Window
Cancelled lessons can be rescheduled and taken within the following 4 weeks.
Fridays are reserved to facilitate rescheduling when possible.
4.3 No-Shows
If the student does not join within 15 minutes, the lesson is considered completed.
5. Completion Window (Maximum Duration Per Pack)
To maintain structure and avoid indefinite extensions, Flexible Packs have a maximum completion time:
- 15-Lesson Pack → up to 18 weeks
- 30-Lesson Pack → up to 36 weeks
- 60-Lesson Pack → up to 72 weeks
This accommodates slower rhythms and travel periods while ensuring steady progress.
